Data Warehouse Lead
PBworks has more information collected on how people use business workspaces than anyone else in the world. We're looking for a woman (or man) expert who can help us assemble our data warehouse, working hand-in-hand with our business analysts on one hand to produce reports that will steer the direction of the company, and on the other hand to work with our production and systems engineers to make sure we're collecting and recording the appropriate information.
Since you'll be the whole warehouse team yourself for at least the first several months, you've ideally already had to build and work with large (>100m row) warehouses and while you may be familiar with more advanced ETL/warehousing packages, you'd be comfortable rolling up your sleeves and getting something working with MySQL. Some solid understanding of statistics and database optimizations would be very helpful as would team leadership experience as you'll be expected to be over time hiring up warehouseengineers to come work with you.
Pluses for you include backgrounds in computer science, math, or physics, experience doing quant work such as for financial firms, hedge funds, private equity, or venture capital. Running R or SPSS for fun and fluent in MatLab. Have your own 100M+ databases that you mine for giggles.
