Jim Groff

CEO

Jim Groff is an accomplished startup CEO who has over 25 years of experience successfully guiding companies to a position of market leadership. Prior to joining PBworks, Jim was an SVP at Oracle, which he joined as a result of its acquisition of TimesTen, where Jim was CEO. Prior to TimesTen, Jim held executive positions (including head of its educational business) at Apple Computer, which had acquired Network Innovations Corporation, a company he founded. Jim has a B.S. in Mathematics from MIT, and an MBA from Harvard Business School. He is also the author of several best-selling technical books, including Understanding Unix: a Conceptual Guide, and Using SQL.

David Weekly

Founder, Chairman, and Chief Product Officer

David has been programming since he was five and has coded for MIT, Harvard, Stanford, There.com, atWeb, and Legato. David wrote the first layman's description of MP3 in early 1997 and graduated in 2000 with a BS in Computer Science from Stanford, where he was a President Scholar and a finalist in the ACM International Programming Competition. David started the company that became PBworks in 2003. He likes to throw hacker parties, fly helicopters, ride his motorcycle, and make useful things.

Chris Yeh

Vice President, Marketing

Chris has been building Internet businesses since 1995. He has been a founder, founding employee, or seed investor in dozens of startups, including PBworks, and advises a wide array of startups ranging from network equipment makers to video game studios. He liked his investment in PBworks so much, he decided to join the company. Chris earned two degrees from Stanford University and an MBA from Harvard Business School.

Tom "TK" Kuegler

Head of Revenue

Since 1994, TK (as he is known to his friends) has been part of the Internet landscape. Besides building 4 successful Internet software companies, he has been on the board or advised dozens others. He is also the author or co-author of three books about Internet marketing. Specializing in building scalable and predictable sales models, TK is helping to build that at PBworks.

Royce Potts

Sales

Royce joins PBworks from Office Depot, where he specialized in B2B sales. In his career, he has sold everything from email servers to custom-tailored suits. He also has a Canadian connection, having earned his Marketing degree from St. Mary's University in Halifax.


Brian Kirchoff

CTO

"BK2" is known to whip up incredible amounts of code without breaking a sweat. Wonder why your workspace is now lightning fast? He's the likely culprit. Responsible for our frontend JavaScript and our editor, Brian's known for showing up with amazing new unscheduled projects completed in the wee hours of the night. Gary Rubin

Sales

Gary joins PBworks from Gartner Group, where he managed Global 1000 clients like Nokia, Lenovo, and MasterCard. He has also sold mainframe software and run his own business. Gary earned his Bachelor's Degree from Salem State College.



Angie Smith

Tier I Support Guru

Angie is our wannabe MacGyver—bring her a problem with your application, implementation, or a simple case of international intrigue and she transforms from supermom of five into Ms. Fixit. Her gracious southern charm, subtle humor, and ability to resolve customer issues typify the phrase "solution provider". Angie took an 8 year break from the workforce, where she spent the chunk of her 20's supervising employees at Long Term Care and Alzheimer's Facilities.

While she happily embraces her nerdy quirks, she considers herself a run of the mill, guitar picking, southern girl. She is a paranoid safety freak and believes whole heartedly in seat belts and hand sanitizer. When she isn't answering support questions for PBworks, she homeschools her youngsters, spends time with her husband, plans her days 6 months in advance and makes lists to remind her to do so, and she still finds time to make homemade pasta. She loves a good competition and talking smack.

John-Peter Etcheber

Director of Support

A native of the San Francisco Bay Area, J-P currently lives in Concord, CA. He went to UC Irvine (Go Anteaters!) for college and got a BA in English, then worked for about 2.5 years at a media monitoring company (Cision), editing video clips and creating clip reels for corporate clients. After that, he worked for a small software startup in Oakland called FlashFoto Inc. He helped with setting up test image databases for them as they were developing their computer vision software that tries to cut people out of pictures. He joined PBworks in October 2008. He's really interested in scripting environments like Python, CSS, PHP, and Javascript.

Gregory Lelli

Legal Sales Specialist

Gregory has held several senior positions in sales and sales management throughout his career, most recently as VP of Sales and founding member of Legal Science LLC, a 2007 startup focused on project management software for eDiscovery. Prior to 2007 he served five years as a National Account Manager and District Sales Manager of DHL Worldwide Express. Gregory received his Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Seton Hall University in South Orange, New Jersey.

Glen Hoffman

Senior Sales Engineer

Glen has over fifteen years of experience in the technical sales arena which ranges from selling the value of eLearning and web content management solutions to customers of IBM to demonstrating the advantages of implementing software designed for clinical trials and adverse event reporting for prospective clients of Oracle Phase Forward. He is a graduate of Bucknell University where he studied computer science, was a member of the varsity rowing team, and helped manage the student organized radio station where he was an FCC licensed broadcaster.

Dow Osage

Tier I Support Guru

Dow grew up in the rural South in the 1970s and '80s. But Dukes of Hazzard living gave way with surprising ease to a Catcher in the Rye life in what his family would call only "the North." In Boston, Dow was a Traffic Manager working with retailers like Dell, Zales and New Line Cinema on shopping portals including MSN and Excite. When FairMarket was bought and relocated, Dow took post as a Web Project Manager at Harvard Business School Publishing, with the secondary goal as yet unmet: learning to motorcycle in the snow.  Eventually that feat was accomplished, and Dow gave in to the current pushing West.

In 2009 Dow joined PBworks as a part of the Support & Services team.

Dann Ledwick

Creative Director

Dann was born at a very early age… in Mountain View, CA. He has over 23 years experience in all aspects of creative services and corporate graphic design and has worked for some of the largest technology and creative agencies in the world. In 1999, was the Founder/CEO of Lightsocket (Collaboration Platform for Enterprise) and in 2008, he was the Founder/CEO of ClientShow (Collaboration Platform for Creative Agencies). Dann is passionate about designing and evangelizing great collaboration products for creative companies.

Eileen Xie

Program Manager

Eileen gained an interest in the web in middle school when she made her first website to declare her undying love for the show Sailor Moon. Since then, she's taught herself an assortment of languages (human and computer), gotten a BS in Biology from Caltech, created the QA department at Axolotl, and successfully avoided becoming a crazy cat lady. At PBworks, she commands an arsenal of automated tests to hunt down bugs and keep our product awesome for you!

Kris Williams

Software Engineer

Kris has been developing software for over 20 years. Having spent time at NASA JPL, Disney, MySpace, and many startups during his career, the scope, diversity and scale of projects have added layers of hardend battle armor to this code warrior.  Armed with in-depth knowledge of many different languages, run-times, systems and techniques, Kris can mount quite the offensive on any project.  Kris spends his free time slaying dragons, hanging with pals, quality time with his girl, and enjoying science fiction novels, comics, TV, and film.

Michele Clark

Controller

Michele was born here in our own native California…and has lived all over the place, including Sicily-Italy. However, she considers herself a true southern girl – or to be more precise a Texan at heart. Every now-and-again you may hear the ol’ southern accent come out…

Michele has over 20 years in accounting and human resources. She is responsible for overseeing all financial, accounting, human resources and administration to ensure PBworks remains productive and runs smoothly.  She is a proven leader that works well with cross-functional teams to deliver sound, thoughtful plans that are supported throughout an organization. Michele has worked in both the government and private sector; in industries such as, medical/insurance, hardware/software, semi-conductor and media.

Martin Bogomolni

Director of Operations and IT

Martin is a native of Santa Cruz, California and has a radically eclectic background in everything from biochemistry to computer science. He is a founder of ATX Hackerspace in Austin TX, created the network and systems infrastructure that powered Slashdot, Freshmeat, and Sourceforge, is a Linux Kernel engineer and Ubuntu maintainer, and a quad copter designer and enthusiast. You can most often find Martin by looking for the blur that just went by... and he spends his spare time on a variety of projects.

Nathan Schmidt

Co-founder & CTO (Emeritus)

Nathan joined PBworks following five years in development and engineering with Telephia, the leader in wireless telephony market research and network performance benchmarking. Prior to Telephia Nathan was a co-founder of Scout Electromedia, which shipped the Modo, a pioneering wireless city-guide and marketing platform. A President Scholar, he received a BS in Computer Systems Engineering at Stanford University.

Ramit Sethi

Co-founder (Emeritus)

Ramit joined PBworks as its first full-time employee in November 2005 and served as our VP Community/Marketing, where he helped build the PBworks brand name, develop our website, authored newsletters, offered support, built and managed our support team, and recruited people to come work for the company. Ramit is working full-time on his personal finance site, IWillTeachYouToBeRich.com, and handling the media tour for his New York Times and Wall Street Journal best-selling book, I Will Teach You To Be Rich.

Jon Feiber

Jon is a senior partner at Mohr Davidow Ventures. Jon launched his career at Amdahl where he served as a senior engineer. He joined Sun Microsystems in 1983 where he worked in managerial positions overseeing product development and strategy in the areas of software development, software engineering technologies and networking. When he left Sun to join MDV in 1991 he was Sun's vice president of networking. Jon holds a bachelor's degree in computer science and mathematics from the University of Colorado.

Konstantin Othmer

JKonstantin is the CEO of Core Mobility. Konstantin represents the interests of our investors from Seraph Group and comes from a richly diverse background of venture capital, ePeople (the makers of Talkback, used in Netscape), Catapult, and Apple. Kon has a BS in EE from Caltech.

Mehdi Maghsoodnia

Mehdi is the CEO of BookRenter. Before BookRenter, Mehdi was SVP of products and services at CafePress where he joined the team in the early days and grew the company to over $130M in revenues. He has a BS in EECS from UC/Berkeley and an MS EECS from Stanford.
